When I began this series I spent time in each place, closing my eyes, paying attention to all of my senses, and listening to what the environment had to tell me. During this journey, place became my catalyst for a well overdue personal metamorphosis of identity. Its messages were vast, and the intimate experience of becoming conscious of myself in place simultaneously led to locating internal dialogues that had previously been buried. These inner dialogues came screaming out of the closet of my subconscious. The ontological unveilings that this series brought to my doorstep reminded me of the importance of living authentically, a truth that I had not been prioritizing. Place spoke this message to me louder than words could have. The touch of soft wind, the rumble of passing cars, the tickle of tall grass all sung a poem of revelation that woke me up.
